Tunaley Family History
Welcome to what as far as I know is the only place on the web at the
moment that deals
with the origins of the Tunaley family. If you are a Tunaley you
probably know that it's a fairly unusual name but did you realise that
out
of the
46million names on the UK electoral roll only 100 are Tunaley!
I'm hoping that some of you
are as interested in your ancestors as I am and will be willing to
share what you know to help put together a picture of the worldwide
Tunaley family.
So who am I ?
My name is Marcus
Tunaley and I near the City
of Bath in the South West of England. I'm 42 years old and work
as a consultant specialising in the procurement of large
construction contracts for central and local government. My
branch of the Tunaley family live in and around the town of
Huddersfield in West Yorkshire where my Great Great Grandfather Alfred
Tunaley moved from Derby around 1860. Alfreds
Great Grandfather Thomas was born around 1740 and is as far back as I
have traced my direct ancestors so far.
What can you find on this
website?
This is my first attempt at web publishing and is a bit of a 'work in
progress' so it will get bigger and better as time goes
on. At the moment though I have put up the following types of
content. Click on any item to go to the relevant section.

I would love to hear from anyone connected to the Tunaley family.
My aim is to produce a definitive family tree and if possible trace the
geographical origin of the name. If you would like to get
in touch or have any comments or questions about the site do please
